So, let’s start a little guessing-game of how the operating system market share will look like in two years:
- Windows 75%
- Mac OS X 22%
- Linux 3%
At least he admits it's just a guess. I love this one from 2003 because it claims that by now Linux will have 20% of the desktop market in large organizations. Besides being just crazy, another reason that this prediction is awesome is that it comes from someone named "Duncan McNutt".
Mr. McNutt also mentions certain "German city governments" are in the process of switching over to Linux on the desktop.
Duncan McNutt claimed that by now Linux might have 20% of the desktop market, but instead we know now that even within Munich city government offices the linux marketshare is only 10% five years later.
